Buenos Aires-based trio Segundo Principio explores the blurred boundaries between instrumental jazz, soul, funk and neo psychedelia. Formed of Abigail Rozenblit on piano and synthesizers, Leandro Provera on bass and Paula Guillén on drums, the group combines diverse musical influences creating a novel and unique language of their own, merging dreamy and mesmerizing atmospheres with strong rhythm and meter changes. Their live shows are purposefully made into an immersive experience, matching the music to hypnotic visual projections on the background, taking the listener on a multisensory journey.
Their first EP “Segundo Principio” was recorded in 2020 and released in 2021. During lockdown, the group was very prolific composing and arranging 9 new tracks that conform their second and more ambitious record, incorporating synths, mellotron and string arrangements. These works are to be released independently during 2022.
