When COVID hit, they were in their early 20s, all spark and plans and half-written dreams. By the time the world opened up, they were in their mid to late 20s, carrying the weight of missed years and stories that still needed telling. Halfway kids, caught between who they were and who they’re trying to be.
That’s where semiclone took shape.
Greggy, frontman, vocalist, and guitarist from New Manila, writes with the raw confessions of Boygenius and the hook-soaked honesty of Alex Gaskarth. Ronchris, lead guitarist from San Luis, Pampanga, lives and breathes art, translating feelings into riffs, verses, and the visuals that define their world. Sam on bass is the quiet X factor, the one you feel before you notice. Moti on drums is the pulse, the missing piece that made semiclone whole.
