SENECA is an Argentinian rock band, founded by vocalist Tomás Hansen and lead guitarist Felipe Iolster at the beginning of 2023. Due to their mutual appreciation for British and American rock & roll, as well as Hansen’s background, having lived in London through most of his childhood, they began composing English-written songs.
Soon after this, SENECA’s first lineup was formed. Drummer Francisco Trivelloni and bass guitar player, Agustín Santos Juliá joined the band soon after, making 2023 a year of composing and jamming. In the beginning of 2024, when Trivelloni left the band, Jeronimo Solari, joined as the new drummer, reshaping the band’s sound.
SENECA is a band composed of different music-oriented individuals that work to create new music. Without fear of experimentation, Iolster’s vintage rock tone along with Santos’ funky groove and Solari’s aggressive drum playing, all work to create an authentic rock & roll sound that is accompanied by Hansen’s passionate baritone vocals and evocative lyrics.
SENECA’s single, “Women”, will be the first track to be released from the band’s debut album repertoire. More songs will be released soon, continuing to create music that will hopefully combine a new era of music, with the old and classic rock & roll.
