Spanish alt-punk duo Señor Trepador are comprised of Oscar Linares and Pablo Pereira. Hailing from Sevilla, Linares and Pereira were active in the local music scene and each had been participating in a separate group when the two met in 2004. Linares was connected by a mutual friend to an established band that had just lost its drummer. It was there that he met and began working with Pereira. The band played primarily <a href="spotify:artist:3bgsNtcf5d5h9jbQbohfBK">Extremoduro</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1tZ99AnqyjgrmPwLfGU5eo">Fito & Fitipaldis</a> covers under the name Los Mamarrachos. Linares and Pereira found themselves longing for something more serious, eventually striking out on their own to form a guitar-and-voice duet. Paying close attention to crafting songs with meaningful content and thereby differentiating themselves from other youth groups on the scene, the pair settled on the name Señor Trepador. Linares and Pereira wrote songs about love, passion, and broken dreams until they had generated a sizable catalog of original material. They received considerable attention for their commitment to mature content at such a young age. A scant two years after their inception, Señor Trepador released their debut record for DRO affiliate Treintay3 Producciones. Aforismos Invertebrados, produced by Spanish rock veteran <a href="spotify:artist:7mGfdRd3PB4mRMPymFQM7n">Alejo Stivel</a>, was released before either artist could buy a beer stateside, with Linares at 16 and Pereira at 20 years of age.
