SENSE is an acoustic pop/singer-songwriter outfit from The Netherlands. Main musicians are singer Annemiek van der Weele and guitarist/backup singer Luc Oggel. The repertoire consists of original material and well-known tunes in a 'SENSE-way'.
The songs have different moods, from uplifting to melancholic. Annemiek and Luc like to keep it simple: most songs are written and performed with just an acoustic guitar, and even the ones recorded with drums, bass and electric guitar will still sound good completely stripped down. Sometimes a piano, ukelele, harmonica and even a xylophone show up.
On september 1st 2023, SENSE released 'Vannacht' (Tonight), their first native tongue single, followed by the also in Dutch song 'Bergen & Rivieren' (Mountains and Rivers) in the fall. On october 25, 2024 SENSE launched the brand new single 'Alles' (Everything) which features just one voice and one guitar. In the meantime Luc and Annemiek are already working on new (English) songs.
