Sentrum arrived at the Norwegian hip hop scene in the late 90’s, then under the alias Chicopato.
He collaborated with artists as Cast & El Axel, Grundlag, Pumbish, Kameleon early in his career. He appeared in Dj Nasty cut’s first mixtape. The latter also produced all the beats in his first 12” EP release in 2002. He also appeared in both Sa-G and Soul Theory’s mixtapes. Sentrum shared stage with artists like Ken Ring, TP, Madcon, Karpe Diem, Onkel P and Jonny in the early 2000’s. He warmed up for artists like the Arsonists, the Beatnuts, Tha Luniz and more. After a big break from music, Chicopato returned to the rap-scene under the alias Sentrum. He teamed up with artists like Flexi Aukan, Rvzeli, Edw!n, Loka Brazi, big Wolv and worked with producers like O-fficial and Tom 12 from Dat music. Sentrum is an independent artist. His favorite rap-genre is old school rap, which you can hear from his lyrical deliveries. Although lately he has adapted more to the new school sound. Sentrum’s music appeal to two generations of rap-fans and his songs reflects the the life as a minority in Norway.
