The alternative gospel trio Seven Day Jesus was formed in West Virginia by vocalist and lead guitarist Brian McSweeney, rhythm guitarist Chris Beaty and drummer Kevin Adkins. Though they began as a cover band, the three soon began writing their own songs and signed to the Forefront/Chordal label.
