Formed in 2025 by drummer David Kilpi, Severed In Vain was born out of a need to turn pain into purpose. With influences ranging from <a href="spotify:artist:7iWiAD5LLKyiox2grgfmUT" data-name="Bullet For My Valentine">Bullet For My Valentine</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6O7MpKrY91vlCd4Osi6XKs" data-name="Black Veil Brides">Black Veil Brides</a> to <a href="spotify:artist:3Ri4H12KFyu98LMjSoij5V" data-name="Bad Omens">Bad Omens</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:37394IP6uhnjIpsawpMu4l" data-name="Killswitch Engage">Killswitch Engage</a> , the band crafts soundscapes where vulnerability meets fury.

The Severed; As they're calling themselves consist of:
<a href="spotify:artist:0z1ZlIYmLqe6uqYf0xuMe9" data-name="Colin Z">Colin Z</a> Eriksson on vocals,
Co-creator Lambros "Lambo" Dardonis on the lead guitar,
Vidar Lind following up on the rhythm guitar,
on the bass guitar nobody else but Karl Eriksson;
last but not least the drummer and founder David Kilpi.

Their music is a journey through buried memories, emotional self-destruction, and the search for meaning. With a growing local fanbase and an upcoming string of live shows, Severed In Vain is poised to carve their name deep into the scene.

We are dedicated to bringing the alternative/metalcore scene back into Sweden with full force. Already starting to work on collaborations with other smaller bands in the genre. Our hope is to bring the classic core/scene-genre back into relevancy and we will stop at nothing to bring it to its former glory since the 2010 Warped Days.
