Shadee Clarke

Shadee Clarke, previously known as MoShadee, and one half of the CM Jones duo, was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and raised in Bloomfield up until the age of 16. Every city in Essex County eventually became a frequent stomping ground for him.

His family hails from Harlem, New York. They later moved to Newark, New Jersey in the mid to late 60s. The aura of the Black Renaissance in Harlem with the after effects of the Newark Riots has shaped a distinct essence that lives through Shadee’s music.

Deep soul ballads from Stevie Wonder to Earth Wind and Fire, 90’s Gangsta Rap like Snoop Dogg’s "Doggystyle", to Tribe’s "Midnight Marauders" is what Shadee grew up hearing through the walls of his Mother’s bedroom.

This ignited a voice of genuine vulnerability, authentic storytelling, and introspective lyrics. Raw and familiar from all walks of life, with anyone who’s experienced struggle while walking this earth.

Shadee Clarke has released multiple projects under the name MoShadee and CM Jones. He’s collaborated with artists like Blu and Georgia Anne Muldrow, toured the East to West of North America to France, where he built a strong union with French Producer Creestal leading them to create Munchie Records and the music duo CM Jones.

Shadee is on a continuous trek to channel the highest energies and provide food for the mind, body, and soul through all creative outlets and mediums, music is just one.
