SHADOWS DIVIDE

SHADOWS DIVIDE is the alias of Ryan A, a solo artist based in Houston, Texas.

For him, music serves as the perfect modality to shine the light on the darkest places. While often externally focused within its motifs, Ryan turns inwards to reflect on his own personal anecdotes, and much of his work is inspired by his own life experiences while battling his own demons.

Ryan began his foray into music while growing up in Northern Wisconsin. With a rocky childhood and the cards stacked against him, Ryan found solace in music, and gravitated towards the aggressive sounds of Rock, Hard Rock and Metal.

Fast forward to today and he has amassed over two decades of experience as a musician, songwriter and producer. Playing in bands such as Switch, Catalyst A, My Elegant Demise, and now his solo project SHADOWS DIVIDE. His debut single 'The Phoenix', released in March 2022, is the perfect encapsulation of where he is currently at. It’s a deep dive into the inner workings of his mind, and a raucous, angst-fuelled auditory expedition that showcases no matter how hard we have fallen, we can always rise from the ashes.
