Shaik Omar began his musical journey in 2011, when he made the decision to be at
the forefront of his craft. This comes after some time he spent working in the entertainment industry as an
artist manager. Within a few years, the passion and the love for the music grew fonder and that led him to sign himself as a
Deejay/Producer under his own label known as “WINSTON WORLD MUSIC”. The label was prompted to
push local talent that has not been given the recognition. Shaik Omar toured locally, collaborated with many
talents, mixing house and dance music amongst other genres.
Shaik Omar recreated himself and returned with the new sound after experimenting with
the musical styles and drawing inspiration from his surroundings. He comes with a more urban
sound that is fused with a natural South African home soil sound. The new sonic journey is
something he’s genuinely comfortable and loved since childhood to share with the world. That is
Electronic Music, Dance, Progressive House, Tech and Future House.
His recent travel to Miami to came to a lot of production projects that will make SA and the
continent proud moving forward. Watch the space! He also expanded is horizon in his production to do Afro House/Tech.
He is not looking back and he is ready to change the view of how South Africans look at electronic as a genre.
