Shakezpeare

Shakezpeare a Coventry City artist, is an artist like no other, with his childhood being something straight out of a Donald Goines book. His straight to the point aggressive style of writing and delivery packs a punch. A colourful past lead Shakezpeare to serve a very lengthy prison sentence, the longest being 12 years but now after being free for 16 years and living on the right side of the law, fully focused on his music and performing he uses these platforms to exorcise all his demons “which is evident once you witness Shakespeare live.” As far as live performances stand Shakezpeare stands shoulder to shoulder with the best of them and has been for a number of years working his way though the underground scene putting in performances all over the UK and Europe as an opening act for some of hip hop’s greatest acts such as GZA, Killah Priest and Dom Pachino Wu tang Clan, Mobb Deeps Havoc Big Noyd & DJ L.E.S, Sugar Hill gang, Melle Mel, Smif N Wessun, Kool G Rap, Skinnyman, Rodney P, Onyx to name a few.

Musically Shakezpeare has previously released 15 projects dating from 2011 - 2019 and in 2018 Shakezpeare released his self produced studio album Troubled in which Shakezpeare takes us deeper into the mind of a troubled soul, it’s battles and daily struggles to conquer and maintain dominance over its demons. On this album Shakezpeare still holds no punches with his deliberately blunt to the point style of writing.
