Born in the deserts of California, Shalini captivates her audience with sweet vocals and riveting melodies coming straight from her soul. Her versatility in musical genres span from jazz and R&B to pop and classical, with vocal sensibilities of Amy Winehouse and Aaliyah.
Shalini demonstrated an aptitude for singing and musical performance at a young age, mimicking Paul Young, Michael Jackson, and Tina Turner. She delivered her first live, on-stage performance as Ariel in ‘The Little Mermaid’ at the age of seven and since then, she has honed her skills and performed in venues both in the States and internationally.
She placed first in a vocal competition for her rendition of "On my Own," from the musical Les Miserable and was a finalist in a National Broadway competition called "Wanna Be in Rent". Shalini was also granted the great honor of singing the National Anthem and Whitney Houston’s, "Greatest Love" at a charity event in front of dignitaries, Secretary of State, Colin Powell, Congresswoman, Mary Bono, and former President, George Bush, when she was in high school.
During her residence in Los Angeles, Shalini has become an in-demand performing artist. She has lit up the stage at hot venues all over LA and Hollywood, including the Key Club, Cinespace, House of Blues, and Sofitel. She has also appeared on radio shows around the world.
