Shamiya Battles is a self producing, singer songwriter from South London. An artist with delicate tones that take inspiration from the likes of Aaliyah, Solange, Stevie Wonder and many more. Shamiya’s strict upbringing led her to the start of her musical journey where she first discovered music after a rebellious moment when Aaliyah’s “More Than A Woman” appeared on MTV. Shamiya Battles has recently lent her soulful tones to world renowned DJ/ Producer James Hype on track “7 seconds”. Shamiya’s sweet R&B vocal married with the contagious Dance beat was a huge success and has lent to her being playlisted on major radio stations such as Capital Dance and scoring the number spot in the world on beatport.

Whilst gaining traction from her recent collaboration Shamiya has gained attention from many media outlets for her previous work including, Radio 1, BBC 1xtra and being Rebecca Judd’s Ascending Artist on Apple Radio.
