Shana Alayev wrote this song two years ago when she was newly diagnosed with stage4 breast cancer. She says the song came to her on Yom Kippur night as she was getting her children ready for bed. She kept saying “don’t take me away from them” asking G-d to save her. She is now stable and still in treatment for cancer but she keeps an optimistic and light outlook on her condition which she shares with the world on her Instagram page Shana Alayev.
