Shane Nelson

Shane Nelson is a singer, songwriter, musician, and producer who has been following his artistic instincts to create since he was a child. Nelson started performing at school and community events when he was 8 years old. In his teens, Nelson built the band, “Crescent Moon”. Along with his band, Shane has earned recognition as one of the Northland’s top local musical acts by winning several battle of the bands competitions, being voted the Northland’s best live musical act by local radio stations, and through live performances throughout the Midwest. Nelson’s band has performed alongside nationally recognized acts such as Survivor, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and Confederate Railroad.
As a solo artist, Shane has been featured on PBS television, has won several singer/songwriter contests, and earned the title of Northland Idol through a local ABC Television affiliate which landed him in Nashville, TN. Although Nelson has won several awards and has received recognition for his musical abilities, he is not in it for the eminence. Music is a tool that Shane uses to communicate with others, and through his passion filled lyrics and soulful performances, he touches audiences and provides them with a unique and personal experience.
