Shane Rogers is a composer/transposer, musician, and singer/songwriter from Vancouver, Canada.
He’s always had an obsession with music. Lyrics, sounds, meaning, and it’s odd to find him not listening to music or talking about it. This directly translated into his multitude of bands he was part of, numerous instruments learned (piano, trumpet, French horn, and a myriad of percussion instruments, including drum kit). Eventually, at 16, he decided to learn how to write sheet music.
From there, he first transposed “Oceans Away”, which he still considers to be his favourite transposition he’s made, as it includes a minute-long trumpet solo. From there, he released his first EP “Change” so he, and a handful of his friends could listen to it. One of the songs, “A Tale of Six Trillion Years and a Night” unexpectedly blew up, and he continued to release music because of it, realizing the album “4” a few months later.
While working on his second album, “Nobody”, he found a nonstop push to go further than orchestral pieces. He had always wanted to be a singer throughout his childhood (except for when he was attempting to be a lawyer) and decided to try his hand at it, releasing “Sim” as the last track of the album.
The positive feedback from “Sim” drove him to release his second EP, “You”, in which all three tracks feature his voice. That was the last release he made, in 2020.
