Shanice is a 21-year-old pop artist in LA, with a diverse background (PT/DE/TR). Her music draws inspiration from genres like Pop, R&B, 80s, and jazz, and influence from the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Jamie Cullum, Hozier, and more.
Shanice began making music very young, writing her first song at the age of four. She continued to write and sing through adolescence. At the age of 14, she competed in the German version of The Voice Kids. She finished runner-up against over 2,000 singers.
After high school, she moved to England to attend the exclusive performing arts boarding school Hurtwood House (alums Emily Blunt, Hans Zimmer, etc), on their highest scholarship. While there, Shanice studied music and performance, and she continued to write and record her own songs.
After graduating, she went on to study music at Leeds Conservatoire, receiving a degree in Pop Music. While there, she met and signed with Mark Feist, famed producer (Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, John Legend, etc) and Hitmakers Entertainment Label Head.
Speaking on her music, Shanice said, “I would describe my music as a relief for emotions. Every feeling, or memory you can’t put into words because it is too overwhelming, that is what I aim for my music to express. I want my songs to give a voice to all those sentiments that are so heart-achingly powerful that you cannot describe them. I put my heart into all of my songs, so I hope with some of the things I address lyrically, I can help people and inspire them.”
