A musician from Dhaka, Bangladesh. The lead singer of the Metalcore band, Atavists and the Post-Hardcore band Call In The Clowns. Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist active in the underground metal scene since 2010. Released an EP and a full length album with the Power-Metal band Exenemy as their lead guitarist, following the departure from the band right after the release of their debut album in November 2016, Shanil went on to release several singles and Music Videos with Atavists and Call In The Clowns. In July 2021, he started his solo career by releasing his first single 'Utshob' followed by 'Borshabashi' just a couple of years later.
Shanil is the son of the guitarist named Lonnie who was active in major Bangladeshi bands since the late 80s to the late 2010s, from being the bassist for the iconic rock band 'Feelings' to being the guitarist for bands like 'Pentagon' and 'Paper Rhymes'.
From being born into a family of musicians, Shanil started playing the Guitar in his early age and slowly learned to sing and play the drums over time. From composing and writing the lyrics to almost the whole album ''The Choir of the Martyr'' by Exenemy and playing most of the guitar riffs and solos Shanil discovered his passion for composing. He has composed and wrote all of Atavists' songs like Lohori, Hire For Suicide, Your Enemy, just to name a few to all the songs along with Call In The Clowns' songs like Neel, Poth and Aronno.
