SHAPESHIFTED is a rock band from Ghent, Belgium. Formed in 2011. SHAPESHIFTED plays a powerful style of Rock’n’Roll and blues rock, not afraid to show where their influences lie: Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, Dr. Feelgood… Nothing new there one might say, but hasn’t this been the case for several decades now? After all, every new rock band owes a debt of gratitude to artists from the 60’s, 70’s and beyond. The question is, what are they doing with the sounds from these wild bygone days?

This is where SHAPESHIFTED really stands out, playing with a fervor that brings us back to the glory days of rock but without ever sounding dated. On the contrary, this eccentric mix serves up a raw sound that firmly sticks its middle finger up at any convention, tradition or buttoned-up normality. The four group members have long-standing reputations anchored in the Belgian musical scene for quite a while now, at the heart of bands such as Red Zebra, Guy Swinnen Band, Letz Zeppelin, Derek & the Dirt, Weez, Give Buzze, Needle & the Pain Reaction, Southern Voodoo, The Highway Band …
