Shaapera Msughter (Stage Name: Shapy)
Born and raised in Makurdi, Benue.
I began my journey as a song stylist in 2017, with my professional career truly taking off in 2020, following the release of my debut EP *WADATA* (We Are the Advocates That Arose). Since then, I’ve continued to evolve, releasing a series of captivating projects. In 2021, I released *LOST in Words I Never Said* followed by *BIRD IN THE North* in 2022, and *DESIRE* in 2023. My latest project, *DESIRE Vol. II*, is set to release on September 26th, 2024. Over the years, I’ve also released several singles that complement and enrich my body of work.
My music is a dynamic fusion of modern Afrobeat rhythms and soulful melodies. I draw inspiration from personal experiences and cultural influences, creating songs that resonate with deep emotion and authenticity. Each track tells a unique story, whether it’s about love, resilience, or triumph.
