“Weaving fuzzy guitars and spacey synth with lovely melodies, the sound certainly has a peaceful, nocturnal narrative, but it’s not entirely pleasant. There is a well-crafted tension built in to the Shark Dreams sound that makes it dynamic and interesting.
While not exactly pop, the band manages to provide a catchy, hooky quality to vocals and guitar riffs for listeners to grab hold of. This is a band that could easily wander off into an abyss of synth and sonic landscaping, leaving the listener behind. But they clearly have an interest in bringing listeners along, and we are grateful. Likewise, lyrically the band keeps accessible with relatable, emotive subjects.”
