Sharon Benjamin

Sharon Benjamin is a hard-working veteran of Australian country music. With more than 30 years of performing, writing and recording, she is co-owner of Redbak Recording Studios, where she has produced a string of award-nominated and award-winning albums and singles. Sharon is also a talented musician and she no only entertains on many festivals as part of the artist line-up, but also putting in the demanding hours as bass-player in backing bands.
Sharon continues to write and record for herself and others. She's as comfortable with the rock/pop end of the country spectrum as she is penning a pure, from-the-heart Aussie bush ballad. Her talent with a sweet melody and a great lyric has served her well, and tossed up more than a few hits for some of the country's best indie artists, who continue to work with Sharon
because of her focus and dedication, her easy-going personality, and not least of all, her incredible ability to sing and arrange layers of sublime backing harmonies.
From small beginnings as a bright-eyed girl with a golden voice playing country pubs, Sharon has spent her life learning her craft - from entertainer and musician, to album producer and mentor, and from singer to song writer, she has taken on all facets of the music industry with the drive and passion you would expect from an artist of her calibre. As a performer she has a remarkable rapport with her audience, and embodies the performer's credo of give them what they want, and leave them wanting more.
