Somewhere in between jazz and blues you'll find the music through the heart of Sharon Bourbonnais. When you see her fingers glide effortlessly across 88 keys and hear her sultry voice inviting you to share in clever, insightful stories, you immediately sense this is not your typical singer/songwriter fare. Occupying a fun niche between New Orleans inspired jazz and Texas blues, Sharon’s music swings and sings of romance, charm and panache.
Sharon is a voting member of the Grammy's Recording Academy and has been the number one Austin Jazz artist on music site Reverbnation for over 3 years. Sharon and her band, Tres Bourbonnais, have residencies in Austin at the world-renowned Elephant Room, the historic Driskill Hotel Bar and at the Backstage (El Mercado South) featuring Women in Music. She tours frequently throughout Texas, the Midwest, Hawaii and Europe. Sharon also plays keyboard for rock legend Joe “King” Carrasco and recently toured in France late July 2019 and also with her own band alongside JKC in Spain August 2019. This was her 2nd tour featuring a return performance at Pueblos Blancos Music Festival. She’s recording a new album with noted producer and music legend Chris Gage, eyeing a 2020 release.
