Shaun Rose is a versatile singer who easily finds comfort in existing within more than one musical genre. The first generation Barbadian-American singer was born in New York City, during her adolescent years Shaun’s creative foundation became heavily rooted in musical theatre and dance. She graduated as a Vocal major at the Frank Sinatra High School of the Arts. Writing her own music since high school, Shaun Rose continued on to create her first project in college entitled, “Petals to the Rose: An Audio Diary.” “Petals to the Rose: An Audio Diary” would ultimately acquire the attention of the legendary DJ Greg St. adding “Daylight” and Shaun Rose’s first radio-single “Luv Me” into his rotation.
Shaun Rose’s signature sound can be described as an eclectic blend of neo-soul and alternative pop combined with distinctively rich and energetic textured tones. Recovering from vocal polyps diagnosis in 2018, Shaun Rose is experiencing a creative rebirth of sorts with relearning how to utilize her voice in a way that has only gotten stronger with time, intention, and dedication.
Shaun Rose has made impressive strides within the music industry thus far as an independent act. She has performed live for ASCAP, as well as Fader Fort Stage in Atlanta for A3C, sang background for Dej Loaf at the Hangout Festival (2018), .
