SHAVO

Shavo Odadjian is a multi-instrumentalist, DJ, producer and the bassist and founding member of SYSTEM OF A DOWN. 
 
Outside of SYSTEM OF A DOWN, Shavo has been a driving creative force behind several other artistic endeavors. A popular DJ and producer, Shavo has performed to captive audiences across the world. AcHoZen, a collaboration between Shavo and Wu-Tang Clan founder, RZA, created a new musical genre: heavy hip hop. Producing most of the album at his studio, Shavo created beats that combined many different types of live instruments, like guitar and sitar.
 
Shavo also wrote, produced, and recorded for the musical endeavor, North Kingsley. They went on to release two EPs titled Vol. 1 and Vol.2 in 2020, and have recorded a full length record that will be released in the foreseeable future.

In 2024, Shavo introduced his latest project, Seven Hours After Violet, a bold venture that combines his signature intensity with fresh sonic landscapes. The debut album, released in October, captures raw emotion and boundary-pushing energy, quickly resonating with listeners. With a world tour set for 2025, Seven Hours After Violet showcases Shavo’s creative evolution, merging his rock roots with a modern edge and reaffirming his role as a pioneering force in music. Shavo is also continuing to collaborate with other artists and bands; most recently, he joined Ice Nine Kills on their track 'A Work of Art' for Terrifier 3.
