Redemption. The dictionary defines this word as "the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil." Sha'Vonne calls it her comeback. Her redemption was found in finding the strength to overcome heartache, abuse, turmoil, and devastation while being a single mother. God has brought Sha'Vonne back from the brink and has transformed her voice into a mega force that is captivating audiences. Sha'Vonne is resolved to push the limits to tell her story in hopes of provoking change and encouraging others to prepare for their own comeback.
With her first solo at the tender age of 7, she was heavily influenced by Michael Jackson's amazing ability to not only mesmerize audiences, but his heart to inspire change. Later she began introducing herself to the rock music genre with songs from Coldplay. Sha'Vonne has shared the stage with the likes of: James Ingram, En Vogue, Darlene Zschech Hillsong United and many more. All of this led Sha'Vonne to eventually focus on her own project.
Sha'Vonne wrote her first few songs in Nashville with top industry songwriters. Her co-writers’ credits include the likes of Carrie Underwood, Lauren Daigle, TobyMac, Mandisa, and The Newsboys.
Her debut single, "Story to Tell," deals with the need to break down walls, open our hearts and listen despite our differences.
The time is now for Sha’Vonne to tell her story. But most importantly, she hopes to encourage others to tell theirs as well. We all have a story to tell.
