Shawn Sav

Shawn Sav was born in Mount Vernon, New York and grew up in The Bronx, New York. The Bronx was the originator of what we know today as Rap & Hip Hop. At a young age it was evident who Shawn Sav aspired to be. After locating his brothers rhyme book, this was all the inspiration Shawn needed. He picked up a pen and paper at the age of 9. He then recorded his first song on a tape recorder. He even learned how to play the piano. It was a hobby that slowly faded unfortunately but rapping did not. Music ran through his DNA. Shawn recorded his first professional song in 2011. From his first recorded song until now, his musical development is bar none. Through trial and error, trials and tribulations, Shawn Sav has figured out his musical identity. “Music is love, music is life, music is fun, music brings out emotion.” Shawn is capable of doing this with his meticulous approach to instrumentation, perfect diction choices, subject matter and slick metaphors.
