Shawndella

Singer / Songwriter, Shawndella, was raised in the Pentecostal church where her father preached and her mother sang and directed multiple choirs. It didn’t take long for her to embrace her passion for music! If her name sounds familiar it's because she later contributed to many projects (Kenny Lattimore, Whitney Houston, etc.) when she worked in A&R under former Arista Records Exec, L.A. Reid. She also had creative input on several releases from Babyface, Pink, Aretha Franklin, Toni Braxton and Usher just to name a few. She began writing her own songs and lending her vocals to projects in studios from Brooklyn to Staten Island for a variety of artists before making a decision to leave New York City to attend graduate school at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.


Shawndella has mastered the art of subtle, melodic story telling brought to life by a brilliant soothing soprano vocal. Some of her most popular singles (Dealin', A Chance of Showers) catapulted her onto the international R&B / Soul Music scene where she continues to soar!
