Shazee

Shazee (formerly known as Shazzy), is a rapper, songwriter and producer from Malaysia. Had an album back in 2005/2006 entitled Aku Melayu. “Kenapa”, a song featuring Lah from VE, made quite an impact and was considered the official breakup song for many youths during that time. “Kenapa” was a modern day rap ballad, featuring melancholic rap flows with a heartfelt chorus that touched the hearts of many. His album “Aku Melayu”, was the first commercially released full length Malay rap album by a solo artist at the time.


Shazee then decided to focus more on songwriting and production, working with some of the hottest local artists such as Ayda Jebat, Haqiem Rusli, Ikhwan Fatanna, Khareez and many more.


In 2019, he decided to start an artist project. “Send Me A Heart”, a song featuring the legendary Fazz Ahmad and KAEL, made it into local and regional playlists. His individualistic style of sombre, melodic raps sets him apart from others in the genre. His songs are his emotional outlet, almost always wearing his heart sleeve.
