Sherwood & Pinch

Legendary dub/post-punk producer <a href="spotify:artist:4vZIz0gG5DD3Qj9MB6kclW">Adrian Sherwood</a> and dubstep originator <a href="spotify:artist:09S8AYFuaa9PQKSNsXxweW">Pinch</a> (Robert Ellis) first met in 2012, when <a href="spotify:artist:09S8AYFuaa9PQKSNsXxweW">Pinch</a> invited <a href="spotify:artist:4vZIz0gG5DD3Qj9MB6kclW">Sherwood</a> to guest DJ at London's Fabric club. Immediately sensing a connection, the two expressed interest in working together on music. Singles "Bring Me Weed" and "Music Killer" were both co-released by <a href="spotify:artist:4vZIz0gG5DD3Qj9MB6kclW">Sherwood</a>'s <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22On-U+Sound%22">On-U Sound</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:09S8AYFuaa9PQKSNsXxweW">Pinch</a>'s <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Tectonic%22">Tectonic</a> in 2013. Late Night Endless, an album of boundary-pushing futuristic dub featuring instrumentation by frequent <a href="spotify:artist:4vZIz0gG5DD3Qj9MB6kclW">Sherwood</a> collaborator <a href="spotify:artist:2nWwuMA3fFPzKiI0x4Xhrd">Skip McDonald</a> (<a href="spotify:artist:0ZLV7I1vDpjO5IIDTYfeGJ">Little Axe</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0Hmx35vRstyw5AaqXmzQ2G">Tackhead</a>) and guest appearances by <a href="spotify:artist:6xKQ3GOnt3gjzja4IcLyg4">Mikey Dread</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1TsG4AumsMt1Tcq2nHpov9">Lee "Scratch" Perry</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:08HIYCgQ3rlkWzNuKA4xoB">Bim Sherman</a>, and others, arrived in early 2015. <a href="spotify:artist:4vZIz0gG5DD3Qj9MB6kclW">Sherwood</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:09S8AYFuaa9PQKSNsXxweW">Pinch</a> subsequently toured together, setting up their mixing desks on-stage and performing live soundclashes. Second full-length Man vs. Sofa appeared in 2017. Even further over the edge than Late Night Endless, the album included piano by <a href="spotify:artist:0Z9FZyacG66C6Zjj53SzMS">Martin Duffy</a> (<a href="spotify:artist:3wury2nd8idV4GecUg5xze">Primal Scream</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3BqAAo5E60L15TcFgWI8xH">Felt</a>) as well as additional contributions from <a href="spotify:artist:2nWwuMA3fFPzKiI0x4Xhrd">McDonald</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1TsG4AumsMt1Tcq2nHpov9">Perry</a>. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
