We began as two friends writing songs together, but quickly became more. Soon enough we were playing shows together and feeling something there in the music, that we didn’t have apart. From that point on we were She’s Alaska.
During this quarantine we began digging into who we are as artists and exploring production. It's funny how this isolation has allowed us to explore the world so differently than we ever have before. Finding inspiration in the places where memories tangle with the truth. Writing about the explosiveness of falling in love, the heaviness of secret dreams, the sharp tang of nostalgia, and the old flames that haunt you.
We have always found inspiration in the world around us, but we found that sometimes you can be most inspired by the things you miss and 2020 has given us more than enough time to explore that.
