If you took the topography of Tennessee and rendered it as rhythm, it might resemble the music of Shi Eubank. The singer, songwriter, and producer leans into the vast peaks and valleys of old-school country storytelling only to pick up the pace with a confident hip-hop cadence punctuated by street savvy and rock ‘n’ roll spirit.
Shi introduced himself and his signature style with a series of independent singles beginning with “Bar Back” — an ear-worm which features acoustic guitar wraps around finger-snaps with Shi's nimble rhymes giving way to an 808 thump as he warns, “Get him gone or I’m gonna kick some ass. I’m’a need my bar back.”
Produced by Andrew Baylis (Jelly Roll, Brantley Gilbert) and written with Sebastian Garcia (Kane Brown) and Connor Matthews (Sam Hunt), "Bar Back" was mixed by Jim Cooley (Luke Bryan, Dustin Lynch).
Shi’s second single, “None Of My Business” was written with David Ray Stevens who collaborated with Jelly Roll on hits like “Son of a Sinner”, “Save Me”, and “Dead Man Walking”, Michael Whitworth (Lady A, Florida Georgia Line, Eli Young Band) and Ryan Carpenter (Miranda Lambert). The song truly blends the lines between country, rock and a little bit of emo thrown in for good measure!
"Sentimentals" came 3rd combining a hip-hop blended flavor with modern-day country over an inspired vocal. Now, Shi returns with a more straight forward modern sound on his latest single, “Whiskey Supernova”.
