Shiela

Performing artist Shiela fuses Latin Pop and R&B to craft a unique and powerful identity that celebrates independence and empowerment. Raised in Austin by her Mexican and Nicaraguan family, she draws on her cultural roots to craft a style of performance with one purpose - to make people dance. Shiela exploded onto the pop scene with her celebrated Austin City Limits Music Festival performance in 2021, and subsequently caught fire in 2022, becoming an Austin Music Awards nominee for Best Latin Artist, an Official SXSW performer, and returning to Austin City Limits as a guest performer alongside some of her fellow Latin artists. She ended the year as an official “On the Radar” Billboard Latin Artist and kicked off 2023 as a newly minted member of the GRAMMYs and Latin GRAMMYs, followed by another SXSW appearance - this time as part of the Latin Music Coalition's "Official Latin Showcase." Shiela’s debut album “Chilita” and follow-up EP “Corazón Coraza'' are currently available on all streaming platforms. Her sophomore album - a collaboration bridging the Latin scenes of Austin, Miami, and Mexico - is scheduled for release in Fall of 2024.
