Representing Hull, Shimah released his first tracks back in 2006 on DJ Hazards Radius / R-sound imprints capturing the attention of DJ Hype’s seminal DnB label, Playaz with his unique sound. He had a series of tracks released on Playaz, and an EP on offshoot New Playaz. Shimah made a mark in his local djing circuit with a long standing residency at Hull’s legendary DNB institution ‘Shinobi’ for his energetic sets, whilst also spreading his reach around the country over the years including seeing him Frequent the legendary Fabric Nightclub in London, Kendal Calling, Noisily Festival, and overseas at the infamous Outlook Festival. 2019 saw Shimah return with the ‘Gaian Mind EP’ on Liquid Lab, an offshoot of Co-Lab Recordings, followed by the ‘Transhumanism EP’ on Co-Lab Recordings in 2021 showcasing his range of musical diversity. This is all brought together in his debut album ‘4th Dimension’ in 2024 on Co-Lab Recordings. With plenty of new music due in 2025, keep watching this space.
