SHITHäTT are a punk quartet of odd individuals whom blend together elements of post-punk, noise and post-hardcore, to create pop songs for the apocalypse. On Valentine's Day 2017, J.F. Donnelly (Vocals), Conor Hickey (Guitar), Sid Murphy (Bass) and John Henry (Drums) came together to form SHITHäTT, a side project for all involved, with each having active duties in bands such as Tension Head, Cancrusher and Gummidge. What began as a means of just playing more music, soon became a reason to play more gigs, starting with a friend's birthday (Ben from Affected Youth) six weeks after their first practice.
Following numerous stints around the Emerald Isle, playing punk festivals and supporting the likes of Arnocorp, Melt Banana and D.O.A, the band released their first E.P. on Valentine's Day 2018. The imaginatively entitled EP1, recorded, mixed and mastered by John Henry, features 4 frantic tracks of blistering energy that showcase a band dead set on mixing as many forms of punk as possible, into a danceable punch in the gut.
With EP1 public, the lads enjoyed tours of the UK and Ireland, as well as short stints in Germany and Holland, culminating in appearances at the Knockanstockan, G.G.I and Warzone festivals, as well as playing support to jazzy Krautrock legends Embryo.
