Shivang Arora

Shivang Arora is an alt-rock artist, music producer and audio engineer based in New Delhi, India. He studied music at AR Rahman’s KM College of Music and Technology, Chennai. Having ventured into a variety of genres like indie-folk, pop, jazz, fusion rock and lo-fi, he has found his home in the raw sound of alternative rock.

Drawing influences from artists and bands like Nirvana, AIC, Porcupine Tree, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley and Pink Floyd, he aspires to craft an intense and nostalgic sound with lyrics that focus on internal conflicts and social commentary.

Shivang won the IIMA ‘Best Jazz Song’ award 2022 from Hungama Artist Aloud for his single, “Water Is Blue”, and it was featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Top 100 ’21. He was also one of the winners at the Berklee - GMI Global Songwriting Series 2023. With a mission to transcend borders, Shivang aims to be a global modern alt-rock act from India, echoing India's soulful resonance worldwide. He's currently working on his debut album that he aims to release in 2025.
