Shivani Day

Hailing from Leicester, UK Singer-songwriter, Shivani Day embodies a fusion of cultures and influences that shape her unique sound. Immersed in a diverse array of musical genres thanks to her father's eclectic tastes, Shivani's musical palette was broad and unconventional for her age and cultural background. Her musical upbringing coupled with sounds from her heritage and her youth spent taking Kathak and Bollywood dance instilled in her a deep appreciation for artistry and creativity, setting the stage for her own exploration in the world of music and art.

Attending university in Nottingham marked a moment as she delved into her academic studies while simultaneously discovering her affinity for DJing. In 2021, Shivani took a decisive step towards her musical aspirations and decided to begin songwriting. Drawing inspiration from luminaries such as Sade, Aaliyah, Massive Attack, Nelly Furtado and Grace Jones, Shivani's sonic landscape is as diverse and vibrant as her upbringing.

Her debut 6-track EP, 'That Which Is Not' via FAMM - spanning over six tracks, she effortlessly weaves through themes of introspectiveness, social commentary and consciousness, offering an insight into her expanding musical world. 'That Which Is Not' introduces Shivani's own realm, which she intends to make listeners feel both nostalgic and euphoric.
