Coming from the frostbitten country of Norway, it is only fitting that Shmurda provides the heat with his own stylized take on the electro-rap fusion that has been rising through the grounds of the hip-hop and R&B genre. Since 2012 Shmurda has been perfecting his craft and fine-tuning it to the highest level drawing off of the biggest influences in his music library such as Drake and Travis Scott. His love for the summertime tied his ear to the catchiest melodies and the hardest production, allowing him to craft hit after hit as both a songwriter and performer.
With the release of his debut single “Pillar Khalifa”, Shmurda shows off his skills in production as well. This explains why the Oslo native has been able to nail sessions with giants of both the electronic genre in the form of Flume and Steve Aoki as well as the hip-hop genre in the form of The Game and Lil Uzi Vert. Although this is the only track released in the new era of Shmurda’s career, the young starlet has already seen success in previous releases, most notably “Shmurda Caviar” which made it onto the Norway Top 50 at a peak of #53. Shmurda has also opened for artists at numerous shows, not to mention the illustrious Telenor Arena in his home country of Norway.
