Shofu Tha BeatDown’s mother is gifted in visual arts and his father is gifted in music composition. After moving to Los Angeles at the young age of 2, BeatDown easily found multiple ways to express himself. After releasing self-produced #GITTEM Tha Mixtape in 2017 as a birthday present to himself after his 300th beat, then #GITTEM2 - HeatMan exactly a year later and #GITT3M in 2020, a 2-year hiatus during the Covid Era birthed the songs on his 2023 album #Never4gittem. The Krump scene (in which 40% of dancers create their own tracks to dance to) heavily influenced BeatDown’s sound and character. “If I had to sum up my entire style into one song, it’d be <a href="spotify:track:0gzzZ4Uu4qVaUuJnxnHuNu" data-name="KrumpTown">KrumpTown</a>.” Currently, BeatDown’s working on #ARMAGITT5M, helping @<a href="spotify:artist:3SCwhqxsv8UHvWsykwtSsr" data-name="HypeMan Hunnitz">HypeMan Hunnitz</a> get SPLASHGAWD released in 2025, and his animation series, Tha Brutal Champion. In the meantime he has “Cyphergang 10th anniversary volg series” up on his YouTube along with many combo videos from his favorite steam deck games.
