Shon Aguero writes the way most people keep a journal, except some of what came out was songs. Dozens of them, written between 1999 and 2004 and packed away when life took a different shape for twenty years. The original demos were recently recovered. Now they’re being finished and released one at a time, in the order they’re ready, not the order a record label would pick.
This isn’t a traditional album rollout. It’s a working songwriter’s backlog, opened to the public a song at a time. New live instruments, new vocals, and modern production, but the bones of each one are exactly what a younger version of Shon put down on tape, alone, not knowing if anyone would ever hear it.
Based in Columbia, Missouri. From Heavener, Oklahoma. Currently clearing the backlog.
