Shubha Chaki is trained in Hindustani Classical Music from a very young age with Gurus from Gwalior, Banaras and Kirana Gharanas. She has received many prestigious National awards from the Govt of India and has been performing and teaching in the San Francisco Bay area for many years now. Her genre of music is Indian Classical, semi-classical and Ghazals along with Sufi and Regional/Folk music. Some of her latest releases are a duet Ghazal with Padmashree Hariharan for the song 'Bewafaa' and with eminent Ghazal singer Jazim Sharma for 'Phir Se Us Mod Pe'.
