Shugga Shane is one of the coolest rappers from the West Coast & co-founder of the hip-hop collective Bengali Crown Family AKA Crown Fam or BCF. If you are of South Asian decent chances are, you've heard or know of BCF. They hit the scene in the early 2010s and had a cult like following that span across the globe.
Growing up in the streets of Los Angeles California, Shane says that he was inspired early on by Dr. Dre, Tupac & Snoop. So, it was only natural for S.S. to carve out a lane as a West Coast artist. His mixtape, 'Ears to the Streets,' was highly revered & well received in local rap scenes, being hosted by future Grammy winner DJ Mustard & DJ Noize. This tape was cut in true mixtape form; complete w/ DJ drops & techniques, throughout the entire project.
His last project, "L.A. Kings", was independently released in 2016 and had obtained critical acclaim from media outlets all over the web. This drop solidified Shane's presence in Hip Hop as a reputable artist. The project features a list of notable West Coast artists (ft. Skeme) as well as production from some of the game's illest beat-makers.
Currently, S.S. is working on a new album, which will be titled 'WestCoastShane.' He boasts that his forthcoming album will be his best work to date & make sure to follow on Spotify. His recent single 'Coastin' was produced by none other than Cali's own Curtiss King, so expectations are already high. Will Shane live up to the hype? Let's see...
