Blending soul grooves & intricate riffs with loving care for the mind, Shutterdog have come to spread pure love and unabridged acceptance. Fronted by the honeyed voice of Amy Greed and crowned by an electric 12-string brothership, the 5-piece band are an eclectic bunch. Elements of R&B, neo-soul and math rock all come together in their bursts of authenticity, inspired by the likes of Tank and the Bangas, Hiatus Kaiyote and Chon.
The group began by moving minds and bodies in the Bristolian heart of the UK music scene back in 2018. Fondly described as live “local favourites” in Bath, Shutterdog have sold out venues like the iconic Mr Wolf’s (Bristol) and have shared their joy with crowds of 500+ at Komedia (Bath). The band’s autumn 2020 tour dates are being rescheduled, but they will soon take their whimsical live shows on the road.
Shutterdog's debut release "Make My Waves" is an invitation to see the world through their happy-tinted glasses. A wonderfully quirky climb to a climactic celebration of neo-soul and indie joy, the song exuberates affirmations of being enough to just do whatever you want to do. This is Shutterdog’s euphoric ode to the full-fledged quirks of the part-time clerks; a reminder that humanity’s only job is to be unapologetic in our truths.
