Shy Of The Depth were a progressive tech metal band based in South, UK. The original line up was comprised of 5 members; Joe Grouse - Guitar, James Davies - Guitar, Lee Bunker - Bass, Ed Barnfather - Vocals and Chris Allen - Percussion. The role of Percussionist was then taken over by Alex Micklewright.
Recording their EP with WellerHill Productions (Dan Weller and Justin Hill, both from the legendary UK Tech Metal outfit Sikth) and a follow up single with Dan Weller. This helped them progress and develop their own devastating technical progressive thrash groove metal sound.
In their short time, they toured the UK, performed countless live shows in many locations and even supported the giants of metal, Meshuggah.
