Shye is an independent singer-songwriter and music producer from Singapore. Releasing tracks ranging from indie- pop to alt-rock, Shye oversees the whole process of writing, recording and producing and is also the mixing and mastering engineer for all her music.
Shye stumbled into the music scene after she became the youngest contestant to win the Vans Musicians Wanted competition in 2018 at the age of 16 with music from her debut EP “Augus7ine”. Shye followed up with her 14-track debut album “days to morning glory” in 2020. In the following year, she released her second EP “hello TRINITY” followed by “idk it’s complicated” in 2022. Shye’s next body of work, ‘9LIVES’ followed suit in October of 2023 and she continued to release singles throughout 2024.
Shye has opened for international acts like Daniel Caesar, Clairo, Men I Trust and more at their shows in Singapore. She was also featured on a billboard for Spotify's EQUAL Campaign at Times Square in NYC, named 'Best New Act from Asia' at the 2022 BandLab NME Awards, received the 2022 KKBox 'Rising Star Award’ and made it on the lists of 2023 Forbes Asia 30 Under 30, Tatler Gen. T Leaders of Tomorrow 2024 and Dazed Global 100 & Dazed Asia.
Shye is most happy making music and performing live. Sharing her music with the world, Shye is telling one story at a time. Her latest single ‘All at once’ is the 3rd single in the rollout to her upcoming EP.
