Shyla Roe is of mixed British Asian descent and has been singing from the age of 13. Brought up in Spain, Brighton and London she mixes diverse styles, vibes, feelings and languages in her songs. Her latest releases have all been arranged by award-winning producer Rob Davis.
Her first single, Mind Wide Open spoke on the subject of Lockdown. Her second single, Back At It, "is about myself, how no matter the destination, where I live or the friends I make, I always end up in the same cycle. It’s fun but you live and learn who your friends are. People will always try and tell you what’s right and what’s wrong but stay true to yourself, live your life and you’ll enjoy the bullshit people bring your way."
She describes her 3rd single,"Young Dumb is about the influence Brighton & London had on me at a young age living alone. It was like letting a kid loose in a candy shop, except this was the real f**king world.
New people, weird situations, spontaneous decisions, experimented, f**ked up, got into sticky situations & managed to get myself out of them almost every time. But most of all I enjoyed myself. I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Young Dumb explains how I chose to let loose, what I thought at the time would help heal my pains. But hey ho, you live and learn Ey!!!"
Look out for her debut album this summer.
