Formed in Southern California but staying true to their Chicago roots, Shytown blends pop, rock, reggae, hip-hop and even country to create a truly unique, eclectic, genre-bending sound. They like to say they've borrowed vibes from every place they've been from Chicago to LA and Nashville. Frontmen Eric “EJ” Johnson and Danny Jay dazzle with a combination of witty, colorful raps and catchy choruses. As kids of the 90’s, they wanted to rehash the good vibes of the decade but bring it into modern day. In April of 2024, Shytown opened for Paul Russell ("Lil Boo Thang") at Assumption University in Boston. They're now releasing what they call their "genre EP's" which will be 5 different EP's in all different genres.
