Siberian Tiger is a true labour of love for partners in life and in music, Bree Tranter & Chris Panousakis. In this case, what started as a ritual for burnout catharsis began to take shape in the stolen, quiet moments that punctuate the life of a touring musician. In the back of the tour bus, in airports and hotel lobbies, between long-distance calls, and in the still of their foothills home.

For Chris the past few years have seen him fluctuate between his solo project Timberwolf and time spent on the road as Matt Corby’s and The Paper Kites guitarist, a welcome overlap with Bree, who is a longstanding member of Corby's band. Bree’s focus was equally on the return of her band - international indie darlings - The Middle East, who played a series of highly-anticipated concerts including two sold out nights at the Sydney Opera House in 2019 and 2024. The Middle East also will be supporting American country singer Zach Bryan on his arena tour of the states in early 2024.

Since joining forces as Siberian Tiger the two have performed at South Australian festivals - WOMADelaide, Folkloria and ‘Space Jam’. They have had the pleasure of supporting bands ‘Babe Rainbow’ and ‘Eskimo Joe’ and have clocked over 150,000 streams for their single ‘Call on me’.
