Sick Stop (Steven Vargas) is a multi-faceted rising artist Hailing from Rincon, Puerto Rico. Growing up on the island exposed him to a variety of music from different cultures in the Caribbean and U.S. Gifted with the pen and an ear for music, Sick Stop prides himself in his ability to sing and rap over any beat selection. Whether it’s the hard-hitting raps on “Wax,” or the emotional crooning on “LATENIGHT,” these songs are just two exemplary cases of Sick Stop’s versatility as an artist and performer.
Sick Stop moved to Chicago in 2015 to study at the Illinois Institute of Art before leaving school to pursue a career in music full-time. When he started, he only had 2 months of rent saved and no recording equipment, but fueled by passion, he’s steadily built a strong foundation of singles that reflect his capabilities and vision as an artist.
